Mike

Mikes working life began in Cambridge as a punt chauffeur on the river Cam, as the season ended his next decision was one that set him on his current journey.

He began his career in the HVAC industry by luck when a recruiter placed him into a trainee project management role with an air conditioning contractor. The experience in Project management, service, sales, and design allowed him to progress to branch management with a national contractor.

Mike soon recognised his passion for specialist sectors of the industry and has spent much of his career working with Cleanroom, Vertical farming, and high care HVAC solutions. The most rewarding part of his job is being part of and watching the development of his own team where his ethos of trust, honesty and teamwork play a crucial role. The highlight of his career was winning the award for the “Best Cleanroom Facility” which was judged from a case study and technical submission for a bespoke pharmaceutical project.

Mike is drawn to life on the water and loves to spend time paddle boarding, kitesurfing, and cycling.

Lorna

Lorna’s career in the industry began as part of the estimating team for a national Cold Store insulation provider. From the start she excelled at the customer focused role where she looked after some prestigious accounts including Waitrose.

She soon became known in the industry and was head hunted by a refrigeration contractor to manage the Business Development side of the business. She quickly realised that she wanted to have more of a technical involvement and took up the role as sales engineer.

Now responsible for the design and delivery of HVAC projects from inception to completion Lorna’s customer-centric approach ensures a high standard of customer service whilst building a rapport with clients.

In her spare time Lorna’s passion is eating however she burns the calories by running (including the London Marathon), Cycling and the odd Triathlon.

Will

Will gained his qualifications in Mechanical engineering before becoming an apprentice in the HVAC industry. Over the next few years Will worked his way up the ladder whilst gaining extensive technical knowledge on the way including installation and balancing of pressure and airflow regimes for cleanrooms.

The opportunity to work in a leadership role as project manager came as natural progression and Will thrives on being the face and go-to person of a project both internally and externally. Having worked on the tools gives Will the added advantage if there is an engineering problem, allowing him to delve into the intricacies and find a solution.

When relaxing Will is involved in the local music scene, touring and playing the drums with an originals band. Will recently got the bug for paddle boarding following a team building day with his colleagues.

Cara

Whether it’s in her personal life or work life Cara loves a challenge. She is the “eyes and ears” of the office supporting the whole team.

Cara has spent most of her career in the refrigeration and HVAC industry. Working in service, maintenance, contracts and sales, her knowledge and experience is invaluable overseeing and supporting the hub of the business. A big part of her role is to communicate, organise and co-ordinate between the office, customers, and suppliers. This is where her problem solving, and the love of a challenge come into their own.

Out of work Cara enjoys time with her two children along with running and the gym.
